David Drury

David served in the military for 11 years and on leaving wanted to use his experiences to help others transition back to civilian life. David has been volunteering over the past 12 months for a Community interest company delivering lifestyle coaching workshops to various groups. David is keen to use his love of sports and exercise within his delivery and has such a positive can-do attitude that can’t help to rub off on others. David is keen to extend his skills set and is working towards his Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy along with other qualifications such as his level 3 in Education and Training.

Grant Lane

Grant was previously in the military and runs a not–for-profit social enterprise that provides various support programmes for former forces personnel, because of his vast knowledge and experience of delivering programmes to the ex-forces Grant’s role for Leigh Community Trust Forces is pivotal to the programmes success.

Andy Reid (Author of ‘Standing Tall’)

Andy lost both his legs and his right arm after stepping on an IED plate whilst serving with the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment in Afghanistan in 2009. Andy doesn't let the severity of his injuries stop him from going forward with a positive mindset, testament to this was winning The Sun's Millie Award for Overcoming Adversity in 2010. Andy is the proud Ambassador for the ABF Soldier Charity, and his own charity AIM, inspiring and motivating amputees to make the most of their future and works tirelessly in schools and with charities delivering talks about overcoming adversity. Andy’s wealth of knowledge and networks will drive the LCT forces programme forward and into the future.
