This is a new and innovative project for the Trust. Through delivery we aim to be able to give ex-military men and women that ability to be able to enhance their mental wellbeing, whilst also providing training needed to help with mental health conditions, drug and alcohol behaviors through signposting, mentor support and also aiding with life changing pathways to provide a holistic programme.
BREAKFAST BRUNCH – CHANGING FORCES
Held every 2nd Monday of the month, 10.30am – 12.30pm
If you are ex-services and want to come along please contact email@example.com
The programme consists of social sessions based around sport with participants developing their own sessions and having the chance to relax, take part in sport and form teams and socialise with other ex-forces people. This programme aims to provide a signposting, drop-in service to the ex-forces community and help the younger ex-forces personnel that have returned to civvies life.
The investment in this new project will allow the Trust to deliver a project that aims to aid the pathway from military service to civvies street through providing better access to opportunities for beneficiaries to improve their levels of qualifications and civvies street life skills. Each cohort will consist of several different elements using sport as an innovative vehicle to engagement. Initially participants will undertake activities that are designed to break down barriers faced by ex-military personnel.
The programme focuses on providing training and qualifications in sports, health and volunteering awards and qualifications including Sports Leaders awards, RSPH level 2 Understanding Health Improvement award, ASDAN volunteering/enterprise award and ASDAN employability award.
As part of the programme clients will organise specialised events for ex-military personnel and their families and the community in which they now live.
